Case Study: Intersection

The Challenge

Intersection is a leading smart cities media and technology company, known for projects like LinkNYC and other cutting-edge urban advertising platforms. Their digital presence needed to communicate a complex value proposition to local governments, advertisers, transit authorities, and the public. Balancing brand storytelling with scalable technology solutions required a cohesive strategy that would highlight Intersection’s diverse offerings while remaining adaptable to rapidly evolving market demands.

My role as Product Manager

While overseeing budgets, timelines, and team coordination as a producer, I also assumed essential product management responsibilities by:

• Gathering cross-functional feedback from marketing, sales, engineering, and city partners to prioritize site features and content

• Defining a clear product roadmap that aligned business objectives with stakeholder needs, ensuring Intersection’s services were presented in a compelling, easy-to-grasp manner

• Using data insights (site analytics, user behavior) to guide iterative improvements, such as refining navigation, feature sets, and content organization

Planning and execution

I divided the project into agile sprints, dedicating each sprint to core user journeys—like showcasing solutions for municipalities, highlighting advertising products, and sharing success stories. Frequent stakeholder reviews ensured the site remained flexible enough to accommodate new initiatives, updates, and expansions. By continuously testing and refining user flows, we created a visually dynamic platform that effectively conveyed Intersection’s blend of innovation and real-world impact.

Results

• Cohesive brand storytelling: Strategic content organization and a sleek visual design underscored Intersection’s mission to reshape urban environments through technology

• Improved user engagement: Streamlined access to product and service information translated to increased inquiries and stronger partnerships with city agencies and advertisers

• Scalable content framework: A flexible site architecture allowed Intersection to quickly add or update case studies, product lines, and thought leadership as they grew

Why this project stands out

Intersection’s mission—merging physical infrastructure with digital innovation—called for both high-level orchestration and a forward-looking product strategy. By blending my producer responsibilities (resource management, timeline oversight) with product management insight (feature prioritization, iterative design, user feedback), I delivered a dynamic, future-proof platform that serves diverse audiences and drives continued growth for Intersection.
